Beyonce wears a gold eye liner to brighten up her eyes.

The new make-up trend for Spring/Summer 2009 is golden eyes. Models have been rocking the runways with 14k gold and metallics eye shadows and liner. To create a dramatic look, try blending gold with purple, blue, brown, red or turquoise. Or if you prefer a more subtle look, just apply the few soft layers of gold shadow.

ESTEE LAUDER CUTS 2000 JOBS

Estee Lauder Companies announced that they will cut 2000 jobs. The cosmetic giant also owns several well known brands such as Bobbi Brown, Coach, Donna Karen, Aveda and Clinque. The company will begin a four year process to restructure the firm entirely. William Lauder, Chief Executive said that “The current difficult environment, which is global in scale, is not expected to improve in the near term,”.

I love experimenting with new make-up products, especially when it comes to making up my eyes. A few months ago, I noticed that my pencil eye liner & mascara were not enough to create the dramatic look that I was going for. Soon after, my sister introduced me to the back liquid liner that she purchased from CVS ($5.49), so I got one too. The black liquid liner by Prestige Cosmetic, is a huge favorite of mine because it adds character, definition & style. When applying, keep your hand steady & apply to your eye lids starting from the outside. I also recommend using just a drop of liquid to avoid creating a Haute mess all over your eyes. Are you up for liquid lines? All in favor say “EYE“.

Singer Mariah Carey appeared on Good Morning America Monday morning to promote her new fragrance “Luscious Pink“. Carey was interviewed by Diane Sawyer, who appeared gitty when asking the singer about the details of her marriage (really her publicity stunt) to Nick Cannon.
