Ashanti has been cast in the upcoming Broadway production of ” The Wiz“. During the press conference,she performed a rendition of the song “Home“.  The show will be held at the New York City Center and will run from June 12th to July 5th.

Singer/Actress, Jennifer Hudson is featured on the June 2009 cover of Essence Magazine. In the interview, J-Hud briefly spoke about the type of relationship she had with her mother Darnell Donerson ,who passed as a result of domestic violence.

“I was always a mama’s baby,” Jennifer added “I’d go and sleep in her bed until I was 15 years old.”

The Kardashian family posed for a Mother’s Day photo shoot for Life & Style Magazine.  Missing from the klan was Khole Kardashian who was absent from the photos posted on Kim’s blog.  Meanwhile, Kim posted via her twitter page that she’s in San Diego about to surprise her grandmother for Mother’s Day.

The “Princess and the Frog ” is the first animated feature film by Walt Disney that tells a story of an Africa American princess.  The fairy tale is loosely based upon the book The Frog Princess by E.D. Baker. Actress Anika Noni Rose is voice of  Pincess Tiana, who grows up in New Orleans’ French Quarter during the Jazz Age. The movie will be in theaters starting November 25th 2009.
