The Jackson family expressed their grief as well as gratitude toward fans in a statement following the passing of Michael Jackson. On Thursday, the pop star died suddenly at the age of 50 due to cardiac arrest. Michael Jackson’s fans from around the world are mourning the loss of the greatest entertainer of all time. “We miss Michael endlessly, our pain cannot be described in words,” the statement continued. “But Michael would not want us to give up now. So we want to thank all of his faithful supporters and loyal fans worldwide, you – who Michael loved so much. Please do not despair, because Michael will continue to live on in each and every one of you. Continue to spread his message, because that is what he would want you to do. Carry on, so his legacy will live forever.”

Pop stars Rihanna & Michael Jackson are being sued by Manu Dibango. According to the 75 year old Cameroonian singer, the hook from his 1972 track “Soul Makossa” was stolen and incorporated into their songs. Jackson has already agreed that his 1983 hit “Wanna Be Startin’ Something” used parts of the Dibango’s song. Then in 2007, Rhianna received permission from Jackson to use the same hook for her smash hit “Please Don’t Stop The Music“. On February 15th, a judge will decide if Dibango should receive compensation of $500,000 in damages.
