Christina was recently photographed all hugged up with music producer The-Dream. Of course that led to many speculations that she broke up with long time boyfriend Dre (of producing group Cool and Dre). After the Grammys she was interviewed and this is what she said about her relationship status.

Pop stars Rihanna & Michael Jackson are being sued by Manu Dibango. According to the 75 year old Cameroonian singer, the hook from his 1972 track “Soul Makossa” was stolen and incorporated into their songs. Jackson has already agreed that his 1983 hit “Wanna Be Startin’ Something” used parts of the Dibango’s song. Then in 2007, Rhianna received permission from Jackson to use the same hook for her smash hit “Please Don’t Stop The Music“. On February 15th, a judge will decide if Dibango should receive compensation of $500,000 in damages.

Singer/Actress Christina Milian is back on the scene with a new album & new record deal.

In 2006, Milian was dropped from Island Def Jam records only a week after the release of her album “So Amazing“. Christina, 27, described the experience as “embarrassing” in the winter 08/09 issue of Rap UP Magazine. Christina believes Def Jam‘s decision was a budget cut, so that funding would be available to her popular ex-label mate Rhianna. That might be true, but I think the obvious reason was low records sales due to lack of promotion of all her projects. I’m not a fanatic of her music, but I actually like her new single entitled “Us Against the World“. It’s a song about love standing the test of time. Her latest album will be released via Myspace Records and I’ll be sure to keep you posted on the album’s release date.

Taylor Swift arriving at the 2008 American Music Awards

Country music star Taylor Swift , recently performed at the 2008 American Music Awards. Taylor is currently featured in the December 08′/January 09′ issue of Cosmo girl. Taylor revealed that she always knew what she wanted to do in life, that is to perform music.  At the tender age of ten, she started pursuing a singing career and devoted her time to landing a record deal. During a recent promotion for her sophomore album ” Fearless“, she recently spilled the beans to Ryan Seacrest about her break up with Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. Taylor shared sensitive details about the split, it appears that she is still saddened by the phone call that ended her relationship. It’s a good thing, that Taylor has music as an outlet to help her heal from heartache.  She sang the beautiful song White Horse at the American Music Awards. Sounds like she was singing directly to Joe Jonas. We are certain that one day Taylor will find her prince charming to swift her off her feet!
