Ashanti has been cast in the upcoming Broadway production of ” The Wiz“. During the press conference,she performed a rendition of the song “Home“.  The show will be held at the New York City Center and will run from June 12th to July 5th.

Her fourth studio album ” The Declaration” was released in June of 2008 and debuted at number six in the billboard 200.Therefore, Ashanti experienced her lowest first week sales ever.
